The 5-day programme will consist of professional and academic lectures given by specialists in various fields related to the theme, debate sessions, the opening night of the international exhibition at the Ariana Museum, inaugurations and visits to exhibitions.

To develop the central theme of the conferences which will be held over three days, 4 main chapters are defined:

  • Identities in motion: Mythology, political science-anthropology, psychoanalysis.
  • Alchemy: Matter and transformation, ceramics, history of science.
  • Contexts: local perceptions, institutional aspects
  • Appropriation: Art, history.

One day will be devoted to visiting two national exhibitions of swissceramics members, at the Nyon Castle museum and the Neuchâtel Museum of art and history, as well as a visit to the art centre ‘La Ferme des Tilleuls’ in Renens .
